An arrow flies from a high mountain aerie, unerringly striking a paladin's mount. Expecting only a flesh wound, the paladin is stunned to watch his companion of many adventures crumple to the earth. This unfortunate knight has trespassed into the domain of the deepwood ambusher, and he may not make it out alive.
A deepwood ambusher is patient, careful, quiet, and deadly accurate. She is a stealthy, long-range terminator that is proficient at taking down targets before they can ever spot her, let alone reach her. Normally a tactic reserved for the bow, it has spread far and wide into the reaches of many, now adopted by multitudes of martial combatants as a favored style of warfare.
