The in-game engine, the 'combat log', will list all abilities, spells, and actions taken by characters. However, it should NOT be assumed that just seeing what these are in the log means that your character automatically knows what they are. Spells roll against Spellcraft for knowing what they are, and being able to counter them. However, Spell-Like-Abilities and Special Abilities simply show their name automatically. In the vein of keeping metagame knowledge out of the game, please do NOT treat these SLA or special ability callouts as being in-game knowledge. If you are in doubt, then just pretend you didn't see it.
Examples of this are Hellfire Blast, Dragons using their SLA, Warlock's specific incantations(One could ostensibly identify that a caster is a warlock by watching their Eldritch Blast cast with a hard spellcraft of 10-15, but not tell what pact they have just by looking), et cetera. If the ability can 'out' another player, please do not use the combat log in order to do so. If the character is open about using their specific abilities or explains their pact, that can be used as in-game information instead.
Cormyr and the Dalelands old scaling system has been completely reworked. Spell damage is now always multiplied by the following values:
Caster Level:
5 | 1.1
10 | 1.2
15 | 1.4
20 | 1.6
25 | 1.8
30 | 2.0
To reward further investment in spellcasting, focus feats, a higher casting stat, and archmage levels all add to this multiplier as follows:
Focus Feats for the given spell school:
Spell Focus | +0.2
G. Spell Focus | +0.4
E. Spell Focus | +0.8
Casting Stat (includes buffs):
32 | +0.2
34 | +0.4
36 | +0.6
38 | +0.8
Archmage:
Level 1 | +0.2
Level 3 | +0.4
Level 5 | +0.6
Draconic Inheritor:
Level 3 | +0.2
Level 5 | +0.4
Level 7 | +0.6
Warlock Invocations, Elemental Weapon (and similar spells) and Elemental Shield (and other damage shields) do not benefit from this spell damage scaling
This scaling applies to the HP thresholds of the Power Word line of spells
Cantrips can be used infinitely on Cormyr and the Dalelands.
